Ji-min, a cancer patient requested her boyfriend Min Gi-suh (Jang-hyuk) to apologize to a little girl before she passed away. The little girl had accidentally affected with AIDS due to Ji-minÕs negligence. Blaming himself for Ji-minÕs death, Gi-suh therefore resigned from his commission as a doctor and helped to manage his motherÕs company. As requested by his mother, Gi-suh followed his colleague Choi Suk-hyun (Shin Sung-rok) to a small island for a development project. Coincidentally, he saved a farmer in the island. This impressed Lee Young-shin (Gong Hyo-jin) and invited him for a stay in her house. Young-shin is an unmarried mother who rose up her 8 years old daughter, Lee Bom (Suh Shin-ae), supporting her brotherÕs tuition fee and taking care of her dementia grandfather all by her own. During his stay, Gi-suh found out that Lee Bom is the girl that Ji-min wished to apologize. As days go by, he grew closer to this family. Unluckily, the matter that Lee Bom is affected with AIDS was being exposed. The residents on this island decided to request Young-shin to move away. All of these happenings make Young-shin getting more tired and helpless.
